Royal Rangers Background

   Currently serves as the Section Commander for the San Antonio Section, which includes all of Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Dimmit, Edwards, Frio, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kenny, Kerr, La Salle, Maverick, Medina, Real, Uvalde, Wilson, and Zavala counties.

   Serves as am Outpost Councilman at Valley Hi Assembly of God in San Antonio, Texas (Outpost 67 in the South Texas District)

   Father of a GMA# 2199 (Allen Glen Martin who is currently The Senior Commander at Valley Hi Assembly of God Church in San Antonio, TX)

   Involved in Royal Rangers since 1976 (as a commander)

   Completed Leadership Training in 1980

   Attended National Training Camp (NTC) at Country Camp in Columbus, Texas in July 7 - 10, 1983.

   Attended Advance National Training Camp (ANTC) at Country Camp in Columbus, Texas in September 28 - October 2, 1983.

   Attended National Training Camp Staff School (NTCSS) at Country Camp in Columbus, Texas in October of 1983.

   Involved in the Frontiersman Camping Fellowship (FCF) since 1982.

   Served as an Advisor at NTC in spring of 1986.

   As the District Junior Training Coordinator I conducted the First Advanced Junior Leadership Training Course or AJLTC (Now known as JATC) in South Texas and West Flordia Districts.

   Previously served as district junior training coordinator (STX), deputy sectional commander (San Antonio section), Trail ranger Commander, Trailblazer Commander, Pioneer Commander, Buckaroo Commander, Straight-Arrow Commander, and Discovery Ranger Commander.

Current Royal Rangers Projects

   The major project right now is the development of the San Antonio Section; my goal is to increase the Section from 8 to 16 chartered churches by 2007.

   I am also developing Honor Guards to participate in Sections, District, and Regional events.

Personal Information

I am married, and have two sons. In my spare time I enjoy camping, hiking, and canoeing.  I am a member of the church choir, serve as an usher, work parking lot security, and assist with the maintenance at the Church. Of course, Royal Rangers gets the bulk of my spare time.
